cold, hard working, long weekend
May 21st, 2008 by Jane
Well, we are home and it is still cold and rainy. We spent the weekend in one room of the cottage - the room with the fireplace! Jason put up a wool blanket over the doorway to the next room to keep the heat in.
We baked all day Friday to get ready for the weekend. Missy loves liking the bowl

The spring garden cleanup was done including tilling and planting the vegetable garden. I hope the seeds still sprout in the chilly weather. I am keeping my fingers crossed for no frost. Jason used a small rototiller while I howed around the raspberries.

Nothing is better than a bowl of hot soup to warm you up. Check out how slanted the floor is!

It was a holiday and all the fishing boats were docked.

I took this last week in the park. What good is a puddle if you can’t go in it?

We had a good and productive weekend too. The weather was better in the city here. I’ll have to visit your cottage to eat some raspberries!
Burrrrrrrr…… can’t wait for the warmer weather to return here either. Our baby fishies are still hiding.
Our next home will just have to have a fireplace!
Lauren looks like such a big girl on her bike. And so proud! The steady stick is a great idea. It won’t be long before we see you guys at the cottage. Maybe I’ll bring my winter jacket, just in case
Oh yes, I remember you liked to lick the bowl too. Especially when making biscuits and cookies with great Grampy Victor.
I’m so glad you keep us updated with your activities.
Keep them coming………
